When creating a site in the Bigleaf Web Dashboard, you’ll be required to select the type of router availability option the site is using.
These are the availability options:
Standard — the site is using one Bigleaf router
Standard HA (High Availability) — the site is using two Bigleaf routers
Switched HA (High Availability) — the site is using two Bigleaf routers and two switches
Warm Spare — the site is using one active Bigleaf router and one standby (warm spare) router
It’s important to know that some router availability options can’t be changed once they are selected for a site.
- If you select Standard, you can change the router availability to Warm Spare in the Site Configuration page of the Web Dashboard. But you can't change the site to a High Availability option. To do so, you have to delete the site and then create a new site using the HA option you want.
- If you select Warm Spare, you can change the router availability to Standard availability. To use an HA option, you have to delete the site and create a new one.
- If you select Standard HA or Switched HA, you can’t change the site to non-HA option (Standard or Warm Spare). You have to delete the site and create a new one.
If you have any questions about the router availability options or need assistance, contact Bigleaf Support.
