How to factory reset a Bigleaf router

Resetting a Bigleaf router to its factory default settings deletes all site-specific settings. You can then reconfigure the router for use at the current location or a different one. 

Resetting a Bigleaf router

1. Connect the Bigleaf router to your PC’s LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
2. Configure your PC to use these addresses:
   Static IP address: 198.19.8.2
   Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
   Gateway address: 198.19.8.1
3. Open a web browser on your PC and in the address bar enter: 198.19.8.1/reset.cgi
4. Enter admin for the username, and admin for the password.
5. In the router reset page, click reset.
   
   

A message displays when the reset is successful. All site-specific settings are deleted and returned to factory defaults. 

NOTE:  If the Bigleaf router has a firmware of 1.2.0+20251016.0 or newer, you may be able to redeploy without running the above steps by connecting a DHCP-enabled WAN connection into one of the previously unassigned WAN ports or a previously configured DHCP WAN port on the Bigleaf device.

If you are unsure which ports were previously assigned or configured, we would recommend completing the reset process above to return all ports to their pre-provisioned state.
