No, Bigleaf doesn’t block any ports or protocols. If after setting up the Bigleaf service you find that you’re unable to open cloud applications or certain websites, do the following:
- Contact your cloud provider or application provider and notify them of your new Bigleaf-provided IP addresses. The provider may need to update their Allowed IP Addresses list with your new Bigleaf IP addresses to give access to the applications/servers.
- Verify that you are also using the Bigleaf-provided IP addresses at your site(s).
- Verify that you have updated your firewall rules, NAT, and/or port forwarding rules to use the new IP addresses. Also check firewall logs to see if a rule or something else is blocking traffic.
- Use the Diagnostics page in Bigleaf Cloud Connect to see more information:
Run the ping test to verify network reachability through Bigleaf to the cloud application or website that isn't working.
Run the tcpdump test to capture internet packets for analysis by selecting the primary CPE device, LAN interface, and filter against specific hosts that don't work. You can review tcpdump output to verify if the sent and returned traffic is going through the selected interface, such as the Bigleaf router LAN. Refer to the tcpdump manual page for Filters to use, such as “host 8.8.8.8”.
