Note: This documentation is intended for Bigleaf Partner Provisioning processes only.
Once a site has been created in the Bigleaf Cloud Connect dashboard, the site will need to be configured for customer use via the following steps under each tab of the Site Configuration:
General Configuration
- Site Settings

- Can edit ‘Site name’ at any time.
- Can enable/disable site alerts (affects all users with site access).

- Points of Presence (PoP)
- Primary PoP

- Select geographical nearest PoP to customer site address.
- All customer traffic when using Bigleaf will initially flow to this location.

- Secondary PoP
-
- Select geographical second nearest PoP to customer site.
- Customer site will use secondary PoP if Primary PoP is unavailable.

- Primary PoP
- Service Options
- These should already be set during Site/Company Creation.
- Changing ‘Service Tier’ from "Essential" to "Premier", or from "Premier" to "Essential" is not supported once site is finalized with the provisioning process.

- In these scenarios, a new site must be created.
- If needed, please contact Bigleaf Support to review options if changes are needed.

- ‘Service Plan’ may be changed at any time.
-
- Service plan options may vary based on service tier and hardware.
- Consult Partner Portal for pricing details.

- Site Address
- This should already be set during Site/Company Creation.
- Can be updated at any time if physical location of device changes.
- Used for RMA shipping, ensure correct shipping address is listed.

- Can use ‘Ship to custom address’ if shipping location is different than site address.
- Can use ‘Ship to custom address’ if shipping location is different than site address.

- Save changes before moving to next configuration tab.
Note: See Site Deletion article for details on how ‘Delete Site’ button will function on this tab.
Circuits Configuration

Create WAN circuits with customer ISP details.
- Up to 4 ISP circuits can be connected to the Bigleaf device.
- At least one WAN circuit must be configured to complete provisioning process.
- If deploying a Bigleaf wireless solution, please see ‘Adding Bigleaf Wireless’.
- If deploying a BLR-112 with Fiber Expansion module, please see Expansion Card Install.
- Save changes before moving to the next configuration tab.
Devices Configuration
- Click ‘Assign Router’ to add a Bigleaf device from Partner inventory to customer site.
- See Partner Company and Inventory Management.
- See Bigleaf Edge Router Datasheet for information and details on all Bigleaf devices.
- See Redeploying a Bigleaf device if device has been previously assigned to another Bigleaf site.
- Click ‘Choose existing device’ to add specific Bigleaf device based on Device Type and Serial Number.
- Click ‘Add Device’
- If incorrect device chosen, use ‘Cancel router setup’ button to remove a Bigleaf device from configuration.
- If incorrect device chosen, use ‘Cancel router setup’ button to remove a Bigleaf device from configuration.
- Save changes before moving to next configuration tab.
- After changes are saved, port settings are available to edit for device:

- Enable AUX port as secondary LAN port.
- Enable/disable Auto-Negotiation for specific ports.
- Depending on device type, EXP port configuration.

LAN Settings
- LAN Mode
- Choose LAN mode based on customer site needs:

- Static
- DHCP
- NAT Firewall

- Home Office Service Tier can only utilize ‘NAT Firewall’ LAN mode.
- Home Office Service Tier can only utilize ‘NAT Firewall’ LAN mode.

- Choose LAN mode based on customer site needs:
- For Static or DHCP, must assign LAN network
- Click ‘New LAN network’.
- Choose PoP
- This should always be the same as ‘Primary PoP’ configured in ‘General’ Site Configuration page.
- Choose Block size
- /30 Only usable in Essential service tier.
- Provides a 1 usable Public IP to customer site.
- /29 Usable in Essential/Premier service tiers.
- With Essential, provides 5 usable Public IP’s to customer site.
- With Premier, provides 3 usable Public IP’s to customer site.
- If larger than /29 is needed follow guide for Adding Larger IP Blocks.
- /30 Only usable in Essential service tier.
- Save changes before moving to the next configuration tab
Custom QoS
See Using Custom Prioritization Rules in QoS.
Once all tabs are configured, the site configuration is ready to be provisioned to the Bigleaf Router.
