Note: This documentation is intended for Bigleaf Partner Provisioning processes only.
The Edge 800W device from Bigleaf features built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, see Bigleaf Edge Router Datasheet for specifics.
Currently, the Wi-Fi features below are only available if a site has an Edge 800W device AND NAT Firewall mode enabled.
Enabling Wi-Fi
- Navigate to a site that already has an Edge 800W device assigned and provisioned
- Click on the 'Site Configuration' tab from the 'Site Overview'.
- Inside the Site Configuration, click on the 'General' tab
- Click toggle button to enable 'Wi-Fi service' -->
Wi-Fi Configuration Options
- Once enabled, Wi-Fi settings can be configured under the new 'Wi-Fi' tab
- Customers can toggle off/on individual 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
- Customers can edit Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
- Customers can view/update Wi-Fi password
- Bigleaf currently utilizes WPA2 security protocol for Wi-Fi passwords
- Customers can edit Wi-Fi channels in use for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
- Customers can enable/disable broadcast of SSID
Guest Wi-Fi Configuration Options
Below the Primary Wi-Fi network settings, there is a toggle button to enable a 'Guest Wi-Fi':
Devices connected to the 'Guest Wi-Fi' network will be segregated into a separate subnet and DHCP server.
- Once enabled, customers can toggle off/on individual 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
- Customers can edit Guest Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
- Customers can view/update Guest Wi-Fi password
- Bigleaf currently utilizes WPA2 security protocol for Wi-Fi passwords
- Customers can edit Wi-Fi channels in use for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
- Customers can enable/disable broadcast of SSID
- Customers can edit Guest Wi-Fi default gateway and subnet mask
