A few things to consider when creating a new site/company:
Parent/Child Company Relationship
A Bigleaf Partner has a primary company which is considered the 'Parent' company. The Parent company and users are able to utilize devices from their CPE/'Devices' inventory to create new companies or sites, or manage existing companies or sites.
All companies/sites created by the 'Parent' company are considered 'Child' companies/sites of the 'Parent' company, and any created 'Child' companies will list the 'Parent' company in the Bigleaf Cloud Connect dashboard.
All Sites Must Be Associated To A Company
Generally, it is best practice to always create a child company for every end-user account of the Bigleaf Partner, and put all of those end-user's sites under their respective child company. This will keep sites organized as well as affecting user management (see User Access below).
User Access
All users assigned to the 'Parent' company will have cascading permissions to all 'Child' companies that are managed by the 'Parent' company.
Keep this in mind when Super Admins are creating new Bigleaf user accounts.
If a new user should only have access to specific 'Child' companies, assign the user to these specific companies ONLY - and do not assign the user to the 'Parent' company.
For a better understanding of user permissions, see this article.
