The Site Overview page provides helpful information about the current health for a site. Quickly see any active alerts organized by severity, the current status of circuits, routers, and switches, and a variety of data usage, performance, and diagnostics information. You’ll be able to see if everything is running as it should, or if there’s something you need to investigate.
Note: Only users with administration credentials can make changes to the site information. If you have those credentials, you can select Site configuration to view and change site settings.
Current Site Condition
The Current Site Condition shows real-time alerts and overall circuit and device status.
- The Alerts are organized by severity, and you can drill down into an alert and see its description and steps you can take. Selecting Alert Settings opens the Alerts Administration page.
- The Circuit Status and Device Status areas show current status. Selecting Circuits or Devices opens the Site Administration page where you can add, modify, or delete circuits and routers.
Auto refresh
Auto refresh is enabled by default so you always see current information. You can disable this if you like and the page updates only when you open or reload it or change settings on the page.
Download the Site information
Selecting Download Overview creates a PDF file that you can save. It includes all of the information shown on the page.
Traffic Optimization
These graphs show various data usage information for a site for the selected timeframe.
Customize the timeframe for the data
By default the data shows information for the past hour. You can select a custom date and time range, or select from a list of available options to see data from that specific timeframe.
Data Transferred
The amount of data that was sent and received for each data category. You can see information for the entire site (General), or for individual WAN circuits.
Identified Application Sessions
The number of user interaction sessions Bigleaf identified and assigned to a Quality of Service (QoS) traffic class. You can see information for the entire site (General), or for individual WAN circuits.
Bigleaf QoS detects different types of applications and prioritizes traffic according to priority levels. These priority levels give each broad category of traffic ideal treatment based on the network requirements for that type of traffic. For example, VoIP is given higher priority over bulk data transfers.
An application session occurs when a user is actively engaged with either an application in the foreground, such as a VoIP call, or visiting a website. A single session can contain multiple activities such as page views, events, social interactions, and e-commerce transactions.
Bandwidth Usage
Total amount of sent and received traffic for the specified timeframe. You can see information for the entire site (General), or for individual WAN circuits.
For the General view, it’s a percentage of your Bigleaf service plan. For an individual circuit view, it’s the percentage of the configured WAN speed/bandwidth for that circuit. If the bandwidth usage exceeds the 80% threshold, you’ll receive alerts until the usage is below the threshold. Hover over the graph to see details about the type of bandwidth being used.
Resolved Alerts
The number of alerts and their severity level that were resolved over the selected timeframe.
Average Latency
The round-trip time it takes for sending data from the Bigleaf network at your site to another site and receiving a response. This time is calculated after Bigleaf QoS optimizations. Bigleaf QoS detects different types of applications and prioritizes traffic according to priority levels.
Traffic Re-routes
The number of application routing changes Bigleaf made between the available circuits to avoid disruption or downtime. Bigleaf automatically re-routes traffic to available circuits to prevent performance issues.
Uptime Improved
The amount of time Bigleaf improved your internet availability by re-routing traffic to prevent degradation or downtime from packet loss.
Low-Priority Packets Discarded
The number of Low-Priority data packets that were discarded to protect High-Priority packets from being discarded. Bigleaf QoS detects different types of applications and prioritizes traffic according to priority levels. For example, VoIP and real-time traffic is prioritized over bulk data traffic.
QoS Adaptations
The number of times a circuit’s bandwidth was assigned to a QoS traffic class to adapt to network conditions.
