Bigleaf Cloud Connect is where you can access information about your Bigleaf service and devices. Here you'll find company, site, circuit, and user settings, network performance information, troubleshooting information, and more.
Cloud Connect replaces the Bigleaf Web Dashboard, offering multi-site viewing with access to all of your sites with current status on one page, streamlined navigation, and page-level Help with quick access to the Bigleaf Help Center.
Tip: For a quick overview of Cloud Connect, see the Cloud Connect Video. It provides a walk-though of the many features Cloud Connect offers and how it can help you manage your internet connectivity to keep your cloud-based applications up and running.
Sites dashboard
The Sites dashboard shows the number of companies, sites, circuits, and Bigleaf devices you have access to and their current health and status. You can quickly see if everything is good across all of your sites and circuits, or if there are issues to monitor or address immediately, depending on severity.
Selecting a site
Your available companies and sites are listed on the left panel of the main Cloud Connect dashboard. The number of sites in a company displays under the company name. If there are multiple sites that aren't showing, select the number to show all of the individual sites. Selecting a site name opens the Site Overview page.
There are several ways to search for and display sites where Bigleaf is used.
Group
Company - List all sites that belong to a company, with the companies listed alphabetically
Status - List all sites by current status level (by deployment status or current health status)
Ungrouped - List all sites by site name alphabetically
Filter
Search for a site by name or any other text you enter in the Search field. Be aware that if you leave search text in this field and then switch to another selection method (such as Group), the search criteria remains and affects other search results until you delete it or close Cloud Connect. If you're not seeing the sites you think you should, check this field and make sure there isn't any search text present.
Sort
Company name - search company names alphabetically in either ascending or descending order
Alerts - list companies that have the most or least number of alerts, or by alert severity
Page Controls
Auto refresh
Auto refresh is enabled by default so you always see current information. You can disable this if you like and the page updates only when you open or reload it or change settings on the page.
Customize the timeframe for the data
By default the data shows information for the past hour. You can select a custom date and time range, or select from a list of available options to see data from that specific timeframe.
Getting Help
Even though we’ve made Cloud Connect easy to use with actionable information, you may have questions or need help with specific features.
Page level Help
On all Cloud Connect pages, there’s a Help icon that contains a link to page-level help for the current page, called About this page. This provides details about the options available on the page. |
Bigleaf Help Center
Also on the Help menu is access to the Help Center where you can see all of the help pages for Cloud Connect plus general information about using Bigleaf such as Troubleshooting tips, Frequently Asked Questions, Install Guides, Release Notes, and more. You can also contact our awesome Support team from or submit feedback.
Using the legacy Bigleaf Web Dashboard
For a limited time, you can switch between Cloud Connect and the Bigleaf Web Dashboard. If you're in Cloud Connect and want to return to the Bigleaf Web Dashboard, select your username in the upper right corner of the page and disable the Bigleaf new look toggle setting.
Cloud Connect pages
There are several pages of information in Cloud Connect.
Sites
The Sites dashboard shows the number of companies, sites, circuits, and Bigleaf devices you have access to and their current health and status. You can quickly see if everything is good, or if there are issues to monitor or address immediately, depending on severity. The information below the top status bar is organized into information about Sites and Circuits.
If you want to learn more about an issue, you can select a Company or Site name to get detailed information.
Site Overview
The Site Overview page provides helpful information about the current health for a particular site. Quickly see any active alerts organized by severity, the current status of circuits, routers, and switches, and a variety of data usage, performance, and diagnostics information. You’ll be able to see if everything is running as it should, or if there’s something you need to investigate.
This page also provides historical and trend data, showing circuit uptime and downtime information. This information is helpful in determining the overall health of your internet connection.
Site Configuration
The Site Configuration page shows site, circuit (ISP, LAN, WAN, etc.), and Bigleaf router settings and details. The ability to view or change the settings on this page depend on a user’s role:
User or Company Admin – can view the information on the page, no changes are allowed.
Super Admin – can add or change the WAN circuit information and the site's Email preferences.
Bigleaf Support and Service Providers – can change all settings on the page.
Companies
The Companies page shows the companies associated with a user and includes details about each company. The information displayed depends on your user role and credentials.
Use this page to add, delete, or modify a company that uses Bigleaf. You can also access user settings, devices used at a company, and default alerts and custom alerts for a company.
Alerts
The Alerts page shows a consolidated view of Active and Resolved alerts. The alerts are organized by severity level and the number of active alerts in the selected timeframe so you can quickly identify any that need attention.
For both Active and Resolved alerts, you can see when an alert occurred and its severity, what triggered the alert, and what steps (if any) you can take to remediate an active issue. The information also includes details about the company, site, and circuit the alert affects.
Performance
The Performance page provides detailed performance information about an overall site, and each circuit at that site. It’s useful because it displays specific connectivity problems and the times they occur. It accurately identifies latency, loss, jitter, and other symptoms of circuit degradation.
The information is beneficial when troubleshooting issues with ISPs, showing precisely where the performance issues are, when they occurred, and how long they lasted. It also helps visualize our QoS, giving additional insight into circuit performance beyond bandwidth, loss, and latency. It shows the mixture of traffic classification that contributes to traffic management on the WAN circuits.
Diagnostics
Use the Diagnostics page to troubleshoot network performance issues. It contains several tests you can run to see detailed information to help determine why you’re seeing issues.
User Settings
The User Settings page shows your Bigleaf Cloud Connect account and user settings.
Logs
The Logs page shows a consolidated view of Bigleaf log files. You can drill down into a log to see more details about the activities that occurred. These can be helpful to troubleshoot circuit and network issues.
